Our 2 acres is over half grass (mowed) trees and shrubs. I have several gardens in full sun and some shade. I keep several birdbaths full of water and we feed the birds. We also have an additional 9 acres of woodland that connects to the 2 acres the house and gardens are on. This last fall we planted a 30 x 30 pollinator garden and a 30 x 10 foot strip of native grasses. About and acre of woodland was cleared (due to trash on the land) and last spring and many native sunflowers came up.
