Pollinator Friendly Plants program

Some places are just not the right spot for Sunflowers. Did you ever wonder what to plant in your yard to support pollinators? While numerous plant lists can be found on the internet, very few of them are backed up by data and almost of none of them are lists that are specific to different regions of the country. We aim to develop those lists over time. You can help!

To participate, you will need to

  1. Have an accurate identification of the plant you are observing
  2. Observe that plant for at least five minutes
  3. Count every single pollinator that visits
  4. Report this on our website as a stationary count.

We will compile these data for each state and identify the important pollinator plants. If we know what the best plants are, we will be able to build the best pollinator friendly habitats.
