Answer givenOur advice
Are there areas with bare ground and very few plants?:
No
Consider increasing the amount of bare ground. Ground nesting bees are more likely to nest where there is bare ground.
Do you have native bunchgrasses?:
None.
Increase the amount of bunch grass in your yard. Many bees nest and overwinter at the base of these grasses.
Are there bee nesting blocks?:
No
Supplement your habitats with nest blocks. Learn how to build them here.
What is the main type of vegetation in the area you are evaluating (park, garden, yard, farm...)?:
Mix of native and non-native plants
Increase the amount of native plants in your yard.

A lot. More than 40%.
You are doing a great job managing for pollinators!
How much of the garden is planted with flowering annual or perennial plants (including shrubs, vegetables and trees)?:
A lot (51-75%)
Consider supplementing your garden with some native, pollinator friendly plants and converting some lawn!

A lot (51-75%)
Considering adding more pollinator friendly plants.
How many different pollinator counts will your contribute this year?:
Ten or more.
We'd love to see pollinator counts from any of the plants in your garden as many times as you can contribute. Thanks for contributing!

Score: 168 (out of a possible 210)

My Yard is 2 acres, of which approximately 1.25 acres is mature woods, a mix of native hardwood and pines. The remaining approximate 3/4 acre is in grass, driveway, flowerbeds and footprint of house. There are flowerbeds around all edges of my house and both sides of driveway, as well as flower pots on deck. I estimate I have approximately 300 feet of flower beds, varying from 3 feet wide to 6 feet wide. The beds are planted in a combination of shrubs, bulbs, perennial flowers, some annuals. Many plants, but not all, were chosen with pollinators in mind. There is a very small plastic pond about the size of a bathtub (75-100 gallon) and four 25 gallon container gardens with aquatic plants, as well as 2 birdbaths. There are a few large terracotta pots with vines such as Red Honeysuckle ["Major Wheeler"), Maypops, and Red Cypress Vine. We do not use pesticides or herbicides, however I do buy plants from many different plant nurseries and big box stores each year, and while I make an effort to inquire about whether herbicides or pesticides have been used, I seldom get useful or trustworthy feedback information.
