I use Roundup only by direction of the master gardeners so I believe that the pollinators are not affected. I only "paint" the liquid on thistles without flowers or other such weeds so as not to affect those insects who want to find food.
My garden is certified by the master gardeners as Certified in Land Management Practices that help the Chesapeake Bay. Also I have certifications from the North American Butterfly Association for having a Butterfly Habitat as well as recognition of having resources that help increase the world's populations of monarchs. All plants except for the zinnias are native including the bushes.
