Answer givenOur advice
Does your nest block have less than 20 holes?:
No
Create a nest block with fewer holes. This will reduce parasitism and make it more likely bees will use it.
What is the main type of vegetation in the area you are evaluating (park, garden, yard, farm...)?:
Mix of native and non-native plants
Increase the amount of native plants in your yard.
How much of the whole yard, park, farm or green space is garden space or wild/natural vegetation?:
A lot. More than 40%.
You are doing a great job managing for pollinators!
How much of the garden is planted with flowering annual or perennial plants (including shrubs, vegetables and trees)?:
A lot (51-75%)
Consider supplementing your garden with some native, pollinator friendly plants and converting some lawn!
How many different pollinator counts will your contribute this year?:
Ten or more.
We'd love to see pollinator counts from any of the plants in your garden as many times as you can contribute. Thanks for contributing!

Score: 199 (out of a possible 210)

The property is bordered by laurel hedges, Douglas Fir, Cedar, Cotton wood, maple trees, blackberry bushes, & a large pond & creek behind it. There is open pasture, there's a shady portion filled with rhododendrons, azaleas, laurels, ivy, honeysuckles, hydrangeas, hostas, columbine, rose campion, ferns, astilbe, snow on the mountain, lily of the valley, snow drops, spirea, mock orange, February daphne, lenton rose, euphorbia & succulents, Spanish bells, trilliums, primrose, begonias, lungwort, hyacinth, tulips, irises, crocus. There are numerous rose and lavender bushes, ceanothus, heathers, pussy willow, salvia, magnolia, mullein, foxglove, harlequin glory bower, osmanthus, butterfly and lilac trees, yucca, hot poker, sweet William, sweet alyssum, asters, zinnias, mums, cone flower, bee balm, dahlias, geraniums, nasturtiums, marigolds, calendula, trumpet flower, morning glory, poppies, hollyhocks, crocosmia, trumpet flower, Canterbury bells, peonies,& too may plants to list. There is a large vegetable garden with sunflowers, sweet potatoes, melons, squash, pumpkins, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, beans, corn, hops, grapes, currants, gooseberries, blueberries, elderflower, figs, mulberry, apples, plums, cherries, sage, rosemary, basil, thyme, mints, catmint, marjoram, oregano, chamomile and more nasturtiums & marigolds. There is a large koi pond with waterfall, and pergola with honeysuckle, jasmine and wisteria. There's a large population of birds and bees, plus bee & bird waterers, bird & bee houses, bird feeders, including hummingbird, & bees have hives in trees on shady part of property. I have never seen so many types of bees, especially honey bees, but also bumble & mason all on one bush as with the ceanothus; honey bees are thick on lavender, heathers, fennel, laurel, ivy, blackberries and even lungwort.
