CCG is a community garden. We began developing the garden in 2015. The soil is compacted sandy loam. Other than grass (from seed) and plantain, there is little vegetation in terms of flowering plants. This year we have planted several apple trees and plan to plant other fruiting trees. We have also started strawberry plants and intend to plant grape vines. We are looking into starting a meadow in the future and will be planting native plants to embellish the ares.
