We have one section of our yard converted to native prairie, along with several smaller beds with native flowering plants (coneflower, salvia, coreopsis, sneezeweed, etc). We also have a vegetable garden, and a small unmowed area of long grasses. There is a vernal pool in a wooded area surrounded by dead logs, pawpaws, spice bushes, and other low growing forest plants.
