Participating in the Great Sunflower Project is an easy three step process.

  1. First, plant an annual Lemon Queen Sunflower. Seeds are available from Renee's Garden. If you want to stagger some plantings, you'll have flowers from April to October.
  2. Second, answer a few questions about your garden, using the garden description form.
  3. Next, make observations (be sure to only watch one plant), and report them using sample data form. We'll send you an email to coordinate when people are sampling.

Shortage of Honey Bees!

We've been having a shortage of Honey Bees in our area, the past few years, and all the plants that will attract them will be great! More people should get involved in this!
