A lot of our native bees use pre-made holes to build their nests. In areas where dead trees are removed or there aren't many trees, adding a bee hotel can really help your population. Trena Noval and I have been working with the 4th graders at Peralta Elementary School in Oakland and Geoff Bidwell at the Oakland Museum to produce a Bee Hotel for display at the Oakland Airport and Oakland Museum. It is finally up! Don't you want one for your yard!
