While waiting (hopefully) for the Great Sunflower Project seeds to germinate I planted seeds from our local nursery - labelled "Helianthus annus'. These seeds have germinated and the flowers are blooming. These are the flowers I'm documenting.
Plant #1 is near a lavender plant and that's why I think it gets more bees. All bees so far are honeybees. The lavender and thyme are FULL of honeybees. Easily 20-25 bees on the lavender, all morning long - plant is about 2' in diameter and about 3' from ground to top of flower spikes.
