I have a squirrel issue - it continues to eat the sunflowers. I've staked the stalks to hold them up so now it just takes the flower(s) without knocking the stalk to the ground.
An aggressive species of bee continues to parole the sunflowers for any intruders. When another species comes along it is attacked and driven away. I've taken to shielding the honeybees when they visit the sunflowers.
