Camera requirements
The Dime Test -- Can you read "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on your photograph of a dime? If so, you and your camera pass. You can take sufficiently high-quality close-up photographs. There are even some cell phones that can take these pictures (though it is hard to have a steady hand!)

ZOOM IN!
Practice -- Now try a bee on any flower! And, again. And, again. The secret is a steady hand (or tripod) or to use a flash and set your camera's shutter speed to as fast as possible. If possible, try it at 1/500th second.
Send them in. We'll soon have the link set up for you to create your own online library of images. Take the highest-resolution jpg images that your camera allows. Please submit originals. Do not crop or otherwise manipulate your images.
Suggested cameras -- If your camera doesn't work well, try using a
o Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H7/B or DSC-H50/B
o Canon Powershot A590 IS or A580
o Fujifilm FinePix S700
