Sweet Italian Basil is the most popular bee plant in my garden. Basil germinates readily in warm soil (5 - 10 days), and is covered with little white blossoms all summer. It grows to about two feet, and does well in pots as well as the garden. One can harvest the leaves for cooking without damaging the flower racemes.
