I wanted to get my seeds started---so I didn't wait to get them from this project. I went to Home Depot (I'm on the central coast of California). Since I knew you only use "Lemon Queen" sunflowers, that's what I bought. The seed company is Ferry-Morse and they are $1.25 per packet. It takes 90 days to get them blooming so I wanted to get them started. Once I get a 2" started plant, I will transplant them into a large barrel and into the ground where they will be growing. Hope this will help anyone else who is "antsie" to get started!
