In case anyone's interested, I set up a camera and laptop at one of my sunflower blooms yesterday afternoon and recorded about 2.5 hours of activity, condensed down in a 1:44 timelapse video clip that's available for viewing at the following link:

Mega Bee Count!
I finally got a chance to go frame-by-frame through the above timelapse video and came away with an unofficial count of 91 bees seen on the flower between the start of the video linked above at 11:37 a.m. and the end at 2:02 p.m. Since my guideline was to count a bee as it appeared for any length of time on the flower, it's probably more accurate to say 91 bee "landings," as there were certainly a smaller number bees that made repeat visits.
