The Great Sunflower Project

Last year, the first seed mailing from the project did not germinate. The second packet of seeds arrived well into the season and produced too late to participate in the study. I saved the seeds and planted them in early April, prior to receiving the project's packet of seeds. Now my healthy plants are up 15 inches. Now I am concerned I did the right thing.
