How to attract bees?

Hello,

This might be a dumb question but how can we attract bees? We have many flowering plants (poppes, rosemary, lavender, etc), but I never really see any bees hovering around anywhere. We live in urban SF, CA so I know thats part of my problem. Is there any plant that really does a good job of saying "Hey Bees, over here!"?

how to attract bees

I have tons of bees in my garden, but the plants that bloom longer (and thus attract more bees) are the jasmine, salvia and rosemary. The jasmine, especially, is almost always in bloom and visited by lots of bees, and as a bonus, it smells divine.
