The Great Sunflower Project

Does anyone know where these seeds come from? I have read, in a few differant places, and from a few differant seed suppliers that corn, sunflower and canola seeds come "pre-treated" with neonicatinoid insecticides. Just a concern that I hope is baseless. I'd hate to be adding to the problem while trying to help solve it.
I have some good info on neonicatinoids, on seeds and in grub-ex and so many other things at Walmart and Home Depot ,as we ll as many other garden stores at http://specials.blackcathoney.com/ Please have a look and comment away.
