Can Bees Predict the Weather?

Today I went out and observed my sunflowers. I only saw 2 bees the 15 minutes I was out there. They weren't even busily buzzing around the flowers like they usually do. We have some severe weather due to move into our area today (thunderstorms with rain showers) Can bees sense this change in the weather and stay clear?
