any gardeners know the names of these bee-frequented plants

The bees are happily abuzz in our sunflowers and lavenders and also in a couple other plants whose names I don't know. This ground-cover type plant with little purple flowers is a popular hangout for honeybees and the occasional bumblebee, and this plant is a favorite of the carpenter bees.

Here is the latest photo of our sunflowers - I wonder if the bees have a hard time deciding which flower to visit first!
And here's my 7-year-old apiologist doing today's data sample - yes, she's wearing a bee-patterned bucket hat and that's her fave plush toy bee sitting next to her!

Thanks for sharing

I love your apidologist! Those are all honeybees in the photo!

Salvia, maybe?

The red-flowering plant that you say the carpenter bees like looks like some kind of salvia to me.

Nice sunflowers!
