Just beautiful. I think I'll email Gretchen about starting a separate category on the forum, just for images of non-bees that benefit from the Great Sunflower Project. It could teach us all a bit about ecology and might help with project publicity, too. Lot's of people don't care about bees, and some people are scared by them, but who wouldn't like that handsome male Eastern Swallowtail on your sunflower or the American Goldfinches that visit mine?

Many thanks for your replies to my post......I fell so excited to share this with some one (any one in fact- who will listen, or sit down long enough to ( hear me rumble on about this project). And yes your right it's not a bee, but i was equally as excited when he showed up. Just to beautiful to pass up. I'm glad you enjoyed the pix's, (They are my new screen saver photos). :) Have a great Day.
