I'm not an expert-----the picture is small---but it looks like a small bumble bee. The teddy bears of the bee family. When I lived in Atlanta, GA----that's all I ever had in my garden----never saw a honey bee. Now in California, I haven't seen a bumble, but I have honeybees. CJosse

Oh Goodie! Can I report them or am I allowed just to report what lands on the sunflowers?
Do you know what kind of bee? There were several of them feasting today.
Still wondering what these little bees are?
They are back again this year. Click the link to see the photo. It is large and should be easy for an expert to ID. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y251/LeasaPix1/Bee.jpg

little bees
Given their shiny metallic color, I would say they are sweat bees, family halictidae.
